Tuesday, June 8th

Mom was tapping her foot and had hands on hips when I finally pulled in her driveway this morning. Sometimes it's just too hard to get out of bed! In the end, however, having a new adventure to anticipate was just what I needed to propel me out the door.

Where to begin? The north end, of course. Today we walked the length of South Bay Boulevard, from Galati's Marina and Captain Jack's Boat Yard at the very tip of the mini-peninsula jutting out into Bimini Bay, to the hump-backed bridge at North Bay Boulevard, and then back again. Along the way we visited Seagull Way, Blue Heron Drive, South Drive, Bayview Place, Kumquat, Loquat, the ghost-town of Villa Rosa with its "Roman ruins" (I have a vivid imagination!), and the City Pier.

Pictures will be forthcoming...I can't figure out how to get them from my phone to this blog, but should have it mastered by tomorrow!
